B.S. in Communications with a minor in Journalism from Western Michigan University. M.Ed. in Education with a concentration in History from DePaul University. M.Ed. Leadership (Type 75 certification). National Board Certified Teacher (NBCT) in History. Endorsements include History, Theater/ Drama, and Speech.
EXPERIENCE & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Taught high school US/ World History, Drama/ Improvisational (Improv) Comedy, and Speech in Chicago Public Schools for 12 years. As Dean of Students at Chicago Military Academy Bronzeville designed and implemented a Social Emotional Learning course and an in-class referral system. Coached Lacrosse at Fenwick, Collins/Manley (CPS), and Mount Carmel (Swimming at MC). Currently coach Improv Comedy at St. Ignatius. In addition to my duties at Bridgeport Catholic Academy, I teach after-school sessions in Speech and Stand-Up Comedy. I can lift 100 lbs. over my head.
